Job Title Senior Electrical Designer Job Description
In this role, you will develop, validate, and verify electrical components, (sub-) systems, and solutions for the Interventional Guided Therapy Systems (fixed interventional X-ray systems). You will lead continuous improvements (CAPA) within R&D and work with a multidisciplinary team to apply research results and technological advancements.
Your responsibilities include:
- Design requirements, development, verification, reporting, and documentation of electronics and electrical systems.
- Ensuring design quality, reliability, and patient safety of medical products and systems developed by Philips, including collaboration with suppliers and partners.
- Defining test strategies and plans, conducting testing, and reporting to meet international Safety and EMC standards and regulations.
- Leading, facilitating, and implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Collaborating effectively with teams and stakeholders.
- Aligning with other functions such as mechanical, mechatronics, compliance, testing, validation, purchasing, and quality.
- Supporting the electronics and electrical team's vision, mission, and strategy.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Ideal candidate profile:
- Master's degree in electrical, electronics, mechatronics engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a professional engineering environment.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the medical or a highly regulated industry.
- Experience with analog sensors, capacitive sensing, and low-level analog signals.
- Broad knowledge spanning analog electronics, digital electronics, and software, crossing disciplinary boundaries.
- Strong self-learning ability, curiosity, and experimental mindset.
- A good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
- Proficiency with measurement equipment and automation tools.
- Experience with Python, LabVIEW, or similar programming languages.
- Experience in new product introduction and lifecycle development.
- Background in electronics system design, validation, verification, and quality improvement.
- Leadership experience with EPLAN and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Proactive, energetic, hands-on, and precise approach.
- Experience with SAFe methodology is a plus.
