Electrical Design Engineer - Integrated Systems

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Travel: Up to 30%

Role Overview

Join our engineering team to lead the design, development, and support of standardized electrical distribution and control products. Based at our Jacksonville manufacturing facility, you'll collaborate across departments to ensure accurate implementation of engineered designs. Occasional travel to other facilities or client sites may be required for product launches and troubleshooting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new electrical distribution and control products.
  • Create, test, and maintain automation programs, including those provided by clients.
  • Implement continuous improvements in design, testing, and data collection through innovative programming solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients to optimize the implementation of their designs.
  • Develop technical documentation for system and equipment usage.
  • Provide technical support to both external clients and internal teams, including production and field service.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and trades personnel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as VBA, C/C , Python, and PLC/ladder logic.
  • Experience with communication protocols and network architectures like RS-232, RS-485, TCP/IP, and Modbus.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of UL, CSA, CEC, NEC, and ANSI standards.
  • Experience in industrial settings with PLCs, remote I/O devices, and HMIs.
  • Knowledge of NRTL evaluation and certification processes is a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience in manufacturing environments are advantageous.
