The ideal candidate will have a strong background inPLC programming, HMI development, servo motion control, andelectrical schematic design. This role requires a hands-on approach to machine automation, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient, high-quality control systems. Key Responsibilities: Design and layoutelectrical control panels, ensuring compliance withUL508A and NECstandards. Select and integratesensors, pneumatic control components, and commercial automation products(e.g., photo sensors, vision systems, hot melt systems). Develop, modify, and debugPLC, HMI, and Kinetix servo motion control programs. Createelectrical schematics and bills of materialsbased on project requirements. Ensure efficient time and cost management when selecting control system components. Read and interpretcustomer specificationsand modify machine electrical schematics accordingly. Work closely withMechanical Engineeringteams to integrate electrical and mechanical components. Troubleshoot control systems over the phone and on-site with customers. Travel to customer locations forsystem installation, modifications, and aftermarket electrical control support(up to 30% travel). Train and mentorentry-level Electrical Controls Engineers. Assist in the development ofengineering standards and proceduresfor control systems. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelors degreein electrical engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field. 5+ yearsof experience inAllen-Bradley PLCs, HMI development, and AutoCAD. Strong background inmachine automation, electrical schematic design, and motion control systems. Proficient inAutoCADfor electrical design; experience withSolidWorks Electricalis a plus. Familiar with commercial automation products such asphoto sensors, pneumatics, and vision systems. Experience inPLC programming, HMI development, and multi-axis coordinated motion control. Solid understanding ofmachine timing and industrial wiring concepts. Strongelectro-mechanical skillswith a hands-on approach to system troubleshooting. Excellentorganizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: Experience withelectrical schematic softwaresuch as AutoCAD Light or SolidWorks Electrical. Prior exposure toindustrial automation and machine design. PMI
