Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled designer who enjoys tackling challenging problems, working diligently, and having fun while contributing to a reputable and rapidly growing organization. This opportunity is within our Electrical CAD Design team, where you will leverage your extensive water/wastewater experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of experienced electrical, instrumentation, and control systems (EI&C) engineers and designers on Public Infrastructure projects.
- Develop detailed design packages for water/wastewater facilities, including:
- AutoCAD plan and elevation views
- Conduit and cable schedules
- Cable tray installation plans and details
- One-line diagrams
- Lighting and grounding plans
- Loop diagrams and other essential drawings for installations involving water/wastewater facilities, pumps, valves, process skids, instrumentation, etc.
- Interpret control wiring schematics provided by vendors.
- Review and interpret vendor procurement documents to ensure equipment meets project specifications.
Required Qualifications:
- Education/Certifications:
- Formal training in AutoCAD with certification.
- Proven expertise in CADWorx and 3-D drafting.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years of design experience (beyond mere drafting) in the water/wastewater sector.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's diploma in CADD.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
Organizational Relationships:
- This position reports to the Electrical Division CAD Manager.
