Job Title: Senior Ecology Project Manager
Location: Glasgow, Scotland (Hybrid & Remote Working Available)
Salary: £42,000 - £48,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Reporting to: Ecology Business Manager
I'm working on behalf of a forward-thinking environmental consultancy based in Perth, Scotland, currently seeking a Senior Ecology Project Manager to help deliver complex, multi-disciplinary projects for a range of valued clients.

The Role
As a Senior Ecology Project Manager, you'll be the driving force behind project delivery-coordinating timelines, budgets, and teams to ensure excellence across all stages. You'll work closely with experienced ecologists, technical specialists, and clients, acting as a key contact point while delivering high-quality, environmentally sound outcomes.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on collaboration, problem-solving, and seeing projects through from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of complex ecology projects, ensuring on-time, high-quality outputs.
- Prepare fee proposals and quotations for new business opportunities.
- Oversee and coordinate interdisciplinary teams and external subcontractors.
- Act as the central point of contact for clients, providing updates and ensuring project alignment.
- Monitor budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient financial and resource management.
- Integrate specialist ecological input into project planning and reporting.
- Mentor and support team members, contributing to the continuous improvement of internal processes.
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
- At least 2 years' experience in environmental or planning consultancy.
- Degree or master's in ecology, environmental science, or related discipline.
- Strong project coordination and budget management experience.
- Proven ability to produce accurate fee proposals and manage client expectations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Experience using project management software (e.g., WFM).
- APM membership or equivalent project management qualification.
- Experience with ArcGIS.
- Background in biodiversity, renewables, or regulatory compliance work.
