Position Summary
The Senior Director of Pharmacy Business at Orlando Health (OH) plays a pivotal role within the pharmacy leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief Pharmacy Officer (CPO). This position is responsible for overseeing, planning, and coordinating all financial aspects of pharmacy business across the health system.

Responsibilities
- Leads the strategic direction and coordination of all business reporting and revenue optimization activities within Pharmacy services.
- Collaborates closely with departmental and organizational leadership to address operational, personnel, budgetary, and programmatic issues, ensuring alignment with long-range goals and initiatives.
- Proactively engage with internal stakeholders, physicians, and external partners to drive service line performance and achieve financial objectives.
- Participates in the strategic planning, implementation, and administrative leadership of pharmacy programs, services, and business offerings across Orlando Health and its subsidiaries.
- Oversees pharmaceutical, third-party payer, and other financial relationships for all OH Pharmacy service lines working closely with Information Technology, managed care and supply chain contracting teams.
- Leads the review and implementation of strategic partnerships and contracts for all existing and future pharmacy business lines (i.e. preferred or exclusive high volume home delivery contracts, specialty pharmacy contracts, home infusion contracts), working closely with OH finance, managed care, and supply chain contracting teams.
- Works with various stakeholders to establish a strategic pharmacy network aimed at facilitating rapid and sustainable growth.
- Prepares annual operating and pharmaceutical budgets, including performance of the 340B program.
- Analyzes and reports on financial performance, ensuring adherence to budgetary goals.
- Leads departmental planning and implementation of capital requests.
- Guides analysts on operational, financial, and drug utilization analytics.
- Negotiates contracts independently or in collaboration with divisional leaders.
- Ensures the integrity and effectiveness of the revenue cycle (e.g. tracking of appropriate drug cost/reimbursement rates and subsequent charges).
- Leads trending analyses and pharmacoeconomic reviews.
- Oversees pharmaceutical drug manufacturer rebate assessment and processing.
- Supports the annual assessment of the Orlando Health pharmacy benefits management plan.
- Forecasts drug expense for purposes of revenue and expense budget planning.
- Meets with internal and external customers as needed to ensure service excellence and alignment.
- Provide monitoring and tracking of appropriate drug cost / reimbursement rates and subsequent charges.
- Collaborates with IT, revenue cycle /managed care, and OH finance to develop internal & external alignment for all new services, partnerships and initiatives.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree required.
- MHA, MBA, MS, or PharmD strongly desired.
Licensure/Certification
- Licensed Pharmacist in the state of FL preferred.
- Licensed Consultant Pharmacist in the state of FL preferred.
Experience
- A minimum of three (3) years of pharmacy business leadership experience in a progressive, complex health system overseeing multiple locations including responsibility for pharmacy revenue cycle, budget development, ambulatory pharmacy billing, and PBMs.
- Seven (7) years of progressive work experience in health system pharmacy services or specialty pharmacy, working in pharmacy finance and business.
