Role Overview
As the Senior Director of Marketing, you will be the steward of our brand, shaping its narrative, strengthening its presence, and driving impact. You will strategize and execute brand marketing plans, ensuring alignment with our mission while fostering consumer
engagement and long-term loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Storytelling
- Develop and execute brand marketing strategy that reflects our values and business goals.
- Ensure brand consistency across all consumer touchpoints including digital, social, partnerships, and experiential.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure marketing is consistent with the established brand platform & identity,
- Create narratives that resonate with diverse audiences and drive deep emotional connections.
- Monitor industry trends and cultural shifts, leveraging insights to refine storytelling and engagement strategies.
Brand Representation & Innovation
- Champion the brand in day-to-day marketing decisions, ensuring our voice remains bold, purposeful, and culturally relevant.
- Evaluate and explore new platforms, formats, and brand activations aligned with brand strategy.
- Support high-impact partnerships and collaborations that amplify our mission and expand our reach, in accordance with the brand values & commercial strategy.
- Cultural Fluency - Strong understanding of Gen Z culture, internet trends, and digital subcultures; ability to speak the language of our community authentically.
Team Management & Culture
- Manage and mentor a small but growing marketing team, fostering a culture of curiosity, creativity, and accountability.
- Identify and collaborate with external partners and freelancers to expand our capacity and creative reach.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with the GM and department leads to ensure alignment of marketing plans with commercial, digital, and community goals.
- Translate insights from data, social listening, and consumer feedback into actionable brand initiatives.
- Ensure seamless go-to-market execution with integrated messaging and positioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communication or related field.
- 5+ years of marketing leadership experience in beauty, fashion, or luxury consumer goods.
- Proven track record of building and scaling brands, with deep expertise in brand storytelling and consumer engagement.
- Strong background in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media, and content strategy.
- Experience leading influencer marketing, public relations, and strategic partnerships.
- Deep understanding of consumer behavior, cultural trends, and market dynamics.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities, fostering innovation and collaboration.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Passion for clean beauty, sustainability, and purpose-driven brand building.
