Summary:
Newton, MA fixed hybrid schedule, 3 days in office

The Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for directing the fiscal and reporting functions of the field operations team with operational and financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the senior living industry. In addition, the Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis plays an integral part in defining the usage of information technology and its capabilities to support the execution and monitoring the senior living operations strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning, to support strategic initiatives and business decision-making.
  • Serves as a key finance business partner to our leadership team. Partners with the VP of Operations to ensure financial alignment with business objectives. Performs high impact analyses of business results, identifying trends, variances, and potential opportunities. Provides strategic recommendations to senior leadership to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Develops and delivers training curriculum for new community and regional leaders to improve financial acumen and enhance the capabilities of these leaders. The curriculum will include budgeting/forecasting, SOPs and other financial metrics and reporting that drive company stated priorities and business metrics.
  • Lead, develop and oversee a team of analysts and managers responsible for providing strategic financial support for regional and community teams including Operations, Sales, Clinical, Maintenance and Dining.
  • Oversees comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions. Analyzes financial performance, identifies trends and develops actionable insights.
  • Identifies opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and margin improvement through financial analysis and scenario modeling.
  • Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial and operational performance. Implement best practices to improve financial efficiency and profitability.
  • Stays abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory developments to provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Proactively recommends and implements improvements to FP&A processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and value-add of the function.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process including partnering with various functional budget owners and communicating/advising the management team
  • Collaborate across the organization to develop end-to-end analyses in support of critical strategic decision-making.
  • Provide financial transparency on a real-time basis to operations leadership on financial performance through weekly cost analysis, revenue forecasting and labor management programs.
  • Provide reforecasting every month and gaps to annual budget.
  • Assist operations and liaise with Information Technology on the buildout of business intelligence data sets for easy real time analysis for senior living operations.
  • Ensure we have the right reporting capabilities to deliver measurement of KPI's in real time.
  • Continuously improve FP&A processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and value-add of the function

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required or 10 to 15 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
