OVERVIEW: As a Senior Director managing key regions across the U.S. and Canada, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing the strategic direction of 2 product lines. This leadership role also involves integrating and executing medical marketing initiatives to boost brand growth and market penetration. You will be tasked with developing and implementing impactful business strategies, optimizing team performance, and ensuring all operations comply with company and regulatory standards. With a focus on market expansion and team development, you will oversee and guide efforts to achieve sales targets, enhance customer engagement, and ensure sustained revenue growth across various regions. This position reports directly to Senior Leadership and includes five direct reports. The role is based in Stamford, CT, with a hybrid schedule and 40% travel.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership & Business Planning: Lead the creation, execution, and evaluation of business strategies aimed at surpassing sales goals across four regions. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure regional sales strategies align with the broader corporate vision while adhering to regulatory standards and company policies.

Sales Leadership & Team Development: Provide leadership to regional sales managers, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and collaboration. Directly oversee medical sales representatives in each region, ensuring high performance, professional development, and goal alignment. Focus on recruiting, training, and coaching top talent, managing performance, and maintaining high team engagement across all regions.

Medical Marketing Integration: Oversee and drive the execution of key marketing strategies designed to increase brand visibility and support the sales force. Utilize both consumer and medical marketing to support field teams and create an integrated approach that accelerates sales and customer loyalty.

Data Analysis & Market Intelligence: Lead data-driven decision-making through the analysis of sales trends, performance metrics, and competitive intelligence. Regularly assess competitor activity and evolving market conditions, adapting strategies as necessary to maintain a competitive edge.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management: Foster strong, long-term relationships with key healthcare professionals, including dermatologists, pediatricians, and family practitioners. Act as a senior liaison to medical stakeholders and external customers, promoting trust, credibility, and collaborative partnerships.

Financial & Resource Management: Manage regional budgets and resources effectively, ensuring the optimization of field assets, marketing expenditures, and alignment with corporate financial goals. Demonstrate strong financial acumen and cost management skills to meet organizational objectives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams locally and globally, including marketing, medical affairs, regulatory, and senior leadership, to align on key initiatives, deliverables, and company-wide objectives. Represent the regional perspective during national and cross-functional business meetings.

Meetings & Conferences: Actively participate in and lead regional and national meetings, including training sessions, company-sponsored conferences, Advisory Board Meetings, and medical conferences. Ensure that regional teams are fully prepared and equipped to achieve success at such events.

Other Duties: As needed, assume additional responsibilities to support the overarching goals of the organization.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of sales and people management experience in a B2B, dermatological, OTC, or specialty pharmaceutical environment. Proven success in sales leadership with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals.

Industry Expertise: Strong experience in sales management within the dermatology or pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred. Experience working with both medical and commercial teams is a plus.

Leadership & People Management: At least 4 years of documented success in managing and developing high-performing teams. Ability to motivate and drive results while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work culture.

Relationship Building: Exceptional ability to develop strong professional relationships with healthcare providers, key opinion leaders, and internal stakeholders.

Medical Marketing Expertise: Proven ability to implement and integrate key marketing strategies to support both sales and brand awareness initiatives.

Travel Requirements: Up to 40% travel. Frequent domestic and international travel, including overnight stays. Availability to work beyond standard business hours, including weekends, for key meetings and conferences.
