Our client, a leading manufacturer of high-end, handmade wall decor, is searching for an innovative Senior Digital Content Strategist to become a vital part of their expanding team. With over 50 years in the business, their talented artists create unique pieces for both the home decor and hospitality sectors. Their work is characterized by creativity, originality, and a diverse range of styles. The Senior Digital Content Strategist will drive the strategic planning, development, and enhancement of digital content across the entire brand ecosystem.

This role operates as a contract-to-hire opportunity, fully onsite Monday through Friday, from 6am-3:30pm PST at La Mirada, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategic direction and execution of digital content across various channels, including websites, email, social media, blogs, look books, and product storytelling.
  • Develop and maintain a robust content calendar, synchronizing with product launches, sales campaigns, and seasonal initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging aligns with essential business objectives.
  • Enhance website content and product metadata for improved SEO, discoverability, and conversion rates.
  • Create captivating and brand-aligned content across social media platforms.
  • Present content strategies, campaign results, and performance insights to executive leadership while making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Organize and maintain product content, images, and marketing assets using tools such as Dropbox, OneDrive, Excel, and Smartsheet.
  • Contribute to the establishment of content governance standards and streamline content workflows across teams.
  • Mentor or guide junior content creators and freelance resources as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in digital content strategy, marketing, or editorial roles, preferably in the home décor, lifestyle, design, or creative industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and execute content projects from concept through delivery across multiple digital platforms.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a focus on brand voice and commercial impact.
  • Proficient in CMS platforms, email marketing tools (HubSpot preferred), and social media management tools.
  • Knowledgeable in SEO, GA4, and interpreting content performance data.
  • Experience collaborating with graphic designers and a basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite tools.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS for formatting is beneficial.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting with evolving priorities.
  • A self-starter who proactively identifies opportunities, takes ownership, and advances projects.
Compensation: $50-62/hr DOE
