Description The Senior DevOps (Development Operations) Engineer will bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring seamless integration, deployment, and monitoring of software systems in a secure manner. With a background in deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud-based systems in a secure and auditable manner, the Senior DevOps (Development Operations) Engineer will support BioMADE's digital infrastructure projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure using cloud-native technologies, ensuring adherence to security best practices.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with embedded security gates to ensure secure deployment processes.
- Automate tasks like infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
- Monitor system performance and security, troubleshoot issues, and implement measures to protect against threats.
- Continually optimize the systems for efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with other members of the Data and IT teams to design and implement secure deployment models and approaches.
- Maintain accurate roadmaps, technical documentation, and incident post-mortems with a focus on security improvements.

Requirements- Bachelor's (Master's or PhD preferred) in computer science, engineering, or related discipline.
- 4+ years (6+ preferred) of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or a similar roll.
- Proficiency deploying in a cloud environment like AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP.
- Expertise in at least one programming language, such as Python (preferred).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI, with experience integrating security best practices in deployment.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Good understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), including IAM, encryption, logging, and network security and architecture.
- Familiarity with IaC tools like Teraform and version control systems like Git.
- Must possess the ability to partner collaboratively with internal staff members.
