A forward-thinking technology company in the energy sector is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to play a key role in managing and optimizing data warehouse infrastructure and cloud-based systems. This position will focus on scalability, automation, and performance optimization while ensuring reliability and security in data-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and maintain data warehouse infrastructure to ensure high availability and efficiency.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and testing of data-driven applications.
  • Deploy and manage cloud-based services in Kubernetes environments.
  • Monitor and optimize ETL/ELT workflows and database performance.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
  • Ensure security best practices, including data encryption and access control measures.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and software teams to optimize system integration.
  • Manage real-time data processing and durable queue systems for efficient data flow.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and standard procedures.
  • Stay updated with the latest DevOps tools and cloud technologies.
Required Technical Skills:
  • Experience with data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse).
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, GKE, and containerized environments.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, TypeScript, Node.js, or Scala for scripting and automation.
  • Knowledge of big data processing and frameworks like Apache Spark.
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools such as Airflow.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Pulumi).
  • Understanding of security and compliance standards for cloud and data infrastructure.
  • Strong grasp of real-time data streaming (Kafka, Spark Streaming, Google Pub/Sub, NATS).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications in cloud platforms or DevOps technologies.
  • Experience with data modeling best practices and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of fault-tolerant architectures and high-availability systems.
