As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading significant transformation initiatives at Capital One. The Cloud Operations Resilience Engineering (CORE) Technology division is at the heart of advancing our foundational cloud infrastructure, focusing on observability, connectivity, resilience, and availability.
Your Responsibilities: - Work collaboratively within Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support comprehensive technical solutions across the full stack of development tools and technologies.
- Share your enthusiasm for emerging tech trends by experimenting with and learning new technologies, engaging with both internal and external tech communities, and mentoring fellow engineers.
- Team up with digital product managers to deliver robust, cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans on their financial journeys.
- Leverage programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Ruby, and Go, as well as container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, and configuration management tools including Ansible and Terraform, alongside a variety of AWS services.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps Engineering (excluding internship experience).
- At least 2 years of experience with Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- At least 2 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience.
Preferred Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience with Terraform or Ansible.
- 2+ years of experience with container orchestration services (Docker or Kubernetes).
- 2+ years of experience in coding and scripting (Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Perl, or Ruby).
- 2+ years of experience working with Agile Development Practices.
Capital One's compensation includes a competitive salary and performance-based bonus opportunities. Salary ranges for this position are as follows:
- McLean, VA: $158,600 - $181,000
- Richmond, VA: $144,200 - $164,600
- Plano, TX: $144,200 - $164,600
