Fast Retailing's IT department is leading these efforts globally by expanding our global engineering teams to the US to join our global team in improving the cloud systems. We are recruiting a DevOps Engineer to join our New York City based team to engage in implementing, operating, and improving our customer facing public cloud-based infrastructure, such as, store and e-commerce systems.

Duties:

DevOps Leadership.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to the DevOps team. Drive the adoption of DevOps best practices and methodologies throughout the organization.

Standardized Processes.

Establish and enforce standardized DevOps processes, tools and workflows globally. Collaborate with local teams and global teams to ensure consistency in development, testing and deployment practices.

Cross-Cultural Collaboration. Foster collaboration and communication across culturally diverse global teams.

Infrastructure as Code (IAC). Lead design, implementation and maintenance of scalable and automated infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation etc. Ensure infrastructure reliability, scalability and security.

CI/CD Pipeline Management. Architect, implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, testing and deployment.

Cloud Architecture and Optimization. Lead the design and optimization of cloud-based architectures (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud). Implement and enforce best practices for security, cost management, reliability and scalability in the cloud.

Monitoring and Alerting. Oversee implementation of monitoring and alerting solutions for applications and infrastructure.

Incident Response and Support. Lead incident response efforts, ensuring timely resolution and preventive measures.

Security and Compliance. Collaborate with security teams to implement and enhance security best practices. Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal security policies.

Documentation. Document DevOps processes, procedures and configurations. Provide training and support to teams to promote self-service in DevOps practices.

Containerization and Orchestration. Drive the adoption of containerization technologies (e.g. Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes). Implement and manage containerized application deployment strategies.

Minimum Education and experience required:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related field plus 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure operations or related field.

Skills Required:
  • Experience architecting, implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, testing and deployment.
  • Experience in AWS infrastructure design, build, and operations including: instances, containers, storage, networking, cloud security, and databases (ECS, EKS, EBS, S3, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Document DevOps processes, procedures and configurations.
  • Experience managing incident response efforts, ensuring timely resolution and preventive measures.
  • Experience implementing and enforcing best practices for security, cost management, reliability and scalability in the cloud.
  • Experience in developing operational tools to achieve operational improvements and automation in shell scripting, bash, Python or Golang.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of monitoring tools such as Grafana, Datadog, Splunk.

Salary range for this role is $179,982.00 - $190,000.00
