Senior Devops Engineer

Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer (Strong Java Background)

Location: Irving, TX (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)
Position Type: 12+ months with high possibility of extension/conversion
Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Java development and cloud-based deployments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for release management, infrastructure maintenance, cybersecurity, and cloud integrations. This role requires expertise in Java, DevOps tools, cloud platforms, and automation processes to ensure seamless software development and deployment.
Responsibilities:

Release Management - Manage releases by coordinating with teams, collecting approvals, and executing release activities.
Development & Deployment - Set up and maintain component builds and deployments in cloud environments, automating tasks for improved efficiency.
Infrastructure Maintenance & L3 Support - Ensure system stability, scalability, and security; provide Level 3 support as needed.
Cybersecurity - Monitor and resolve security vulnerabilities, implementing proactive solutions to prevent breaches.
Integration & Innovation - Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for evaluating new technologies and integration methodologies.
Required Skills & Experience:

Java Development: Proficient in Java, Maven, Spring Boot (4+ years)
Linux & Scripting: Experience with RHEL7+, Bash shell scripting (4+ years)
Cloud Technologies: Hands-on with RedHat OpenShift (3+ years)
DevOps Tools: Expertise in TeamCity, Autosys, Jenkins, uDeploy (3+ years)
Collaboration & ITSM: Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, MS Office, ServiceNow (2+ years)
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics) or Computer Science
