In the role of Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing our software development infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and delivery processes. Your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining the reliability, security, and efficiency of our systems.Given the complex nature of the products, there will be significant hands-on training and interaction with various Magna-Power teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuous Integration and Deployment: Develop, manage, and optimize our custom continuous integration (CI) server to streamline software builds and deployments.
- Configuration Management: Oversee internal deployments, security protocols, and system setups using tools like Ansible and Chocolatey, ensuring consistency and reliability across all environments.
- Directory Services Management: Administer and maintain the Windows LDAP Server, managing user authentication and authorization processes effectively.
- Infrastructure Integration: Integrate new machinery and technologies into the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed and concise documentation for software installation to be read by production employees and engineering.
- Microservices Development: Design, develop, and connect with microservices using frameworks such as FastAPI, facilitating scalable and efficient service architectures.
- Networking Protocols: Utilize experience with various industrial networking protocols to enhance system communication and data exchange.
- Testing and Validation: Collaborate with product development engineers to write and implement unit tests in Python, validating both software and hardware functionalities.
- Tool Optimization: Improve the utilization and feature sets of tools such as SonarQube, Bitbucket Pipelines, and integrations with Jira and other services to enhance development workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in DevOps or CI/CD engineering roles, demonstrating a track record of managing complex systems and deployments
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
- Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible.
- Solid understanding of Windows LDAP Server administration.
- Experience with microservices architecture and frameworks like FastAPI.
- Strong experience in Python software development and object oriented programming.
- Advanced PowerShell knowledge and experience.
- Experience with tools like SonarQube, Bitbucket Pipelines, and Jira integrations.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps.
- Experience in Agile software development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
