Senior Devops Engineer

D/B/A Storable Job site address: 10900 Stonelake Blvd., Building 2, Suite 100, Austin, TX 78759 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, electrical and electronics engineering, information systems, computer engineering or any other related technical field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Windows system administration and in administering Windows in a cloud based environment. Minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more scripting languages, such as Bash, Python, Ruby, PowerShell. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Docker and container orchestration. Any experience with all of the following: Cloud administration experience (AWS or Azure); IIS Administration; Relational databases such as SQL Server, Postgres, MySql; Version control software and using Git workflows; Configuration management tools; Uptime reporting and monitoring. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES: Empowers software delivery teams to deploy continuously and deliver value to customers effectively. Helps manage Storables AWS environment, as well as engineer and implement a fully automated CI/CD pipeline that builds and deploys web and desktop applications. Develops internal standards and works with software delivery teams to provide them the autonomy necessary to deliver, test, and monitor our applications using DevOps best practices. Supports products ranging from Websites to container based microservices in addition to Windows desktop applications. Provides training and leads engineering teams towards DevOps best practices. Maintains pipelines and automation for delivering code to Windows and container-based environments with GitLab. Builds tooling to support infrastructure as code with Terraform. Maintains AWS resources and designs cloud native AWS architecture. Utilizes Splunk and APM tools to proactively monitor and correct application issues. Lead efforts to improve application reliability and ensures engineering teams have the tools to help. Accelerates DevOps tools and best practice adoption for legacy applications.
