POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Manager of Development is responsible for managing a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, including corporations, vendors, and individuals, while leading the development and implementation of the Foundation's corporate and vendor philanthropy strategy. This role guides prospects and donors through the full development cycle of identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship while building strong internal partnerships with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. The Senior Manager will cultivate these strategic relationships to engage with industry partners and vendors, driving corporate sponsorships that align with and advance the Foundation's key initiatives and philanthropic goals.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Requires 3 years of experience in philanthropy, marketing/sales or related field, with demonstrated success in fundraising or sales.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent interpersonal skills for building strong relationships with donors of all levels, volunteers, community leaders, corporate and foundation representatives, physicians and University Health leadership.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team; handle multiple projects and effectively manage and set priorities. Strong analytical and planning skills. Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite or similar products, and experience in Raiser's Edge are a plus.
