The Senior Developer will be responsible for leading the technical integration and implementation of Aderant Expert within the firm. This role involves collaborating closely with business stakeholders and team members to ensure the successful delivery of business-critical solutions. The Senior Developer will oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and provide production support for existing applications.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Lead and manage the technical integration of Aderant Expert, including installation, configuration, and testing to ensure full operational functionality.
  • Collaborate with business consultants to gather system requirements and design solutions that meet business processes and requirements.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, provide best-practice advice, and function as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders.
  • Develop and deploy solutions in line with design specifications, ensuring adherence to department standards for design, development, and quality control.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Support Aderant integrations and assist in resolving compatibility issues during migration to the cloud from on-premise environments.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current and trending technologies, and their applicability to the organization.
  • Develop close working relationships with business, product owners, and support teams to foster collaboration and teamwork.
  • Provide production support for existing Aderant and related applications, ensuring high standards of software quality and performance.
  • Use Azure DevOps for the SDLC process and assist in migrating on-premise web applications to cloud-native platforms.
  • Create project deliverables such as presentations, build and deployment guides, and task lists.
  • Some travel may be required, less than 10%.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of direct experience required.
  • Extensive experience in leading technical projects and managing the full SDLC.
  • Proven experience with Aderant Expert, including installation, configuration, and integration.
  • Strong technical background with knowledge of various programming languages, software development methodologies, and project management practices.
  • Experience in cloud migration and working with Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop ongoing relationships with technical colleagues and business stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge of legal industry applications, security, operational practices, and systems development life cycle management across multiple platforms.
  • Senior-level proficiency in business requirement gathering & analysis, process development/enforcement, and enterprise governance.
  • Familiarity with Legal industry-specific LOB applications like Aderant, IntApp, iManage, InterAction
  • Familiarity with Incident Management, Security Analysis & reporting, Risk management, business awareness, and end-user training.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in resolving technical and application problems.
  • Ability to shift gears, prioritize, and work effectively in an agile environment.
  • Seven years or more experience on development platforms such as .NET, C , REST API, Power Shell and SQL Server
  • Hands-on experience in building integrated systems from on-premise to cloud-based infrastructures.
  • Experience collaborating with software and service vendors, managing scope and professional service engagements.
  • Knowledge of best practices in software development and engineering mindset.
  • Experience in developing and deploying solutions in line with design specifications.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
  • Flexible to work in shifts (US hours) and operate outside of core working hours where required.
