Position Title: Desktop Support Technician

Location: San Antonio Tx

Long Term Contract.

M-F 8am - 5pm

Position Summary: The Desktop Support Technician III is responsible for handling complex technical support tasks, including imaging, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software. This role provides advanced troubleshooting for Windows operating systems, Office 365 applications, and basic network/server issues. The technician escalates more complex problems as necessary and collaborates closely with Desktop Support Technician II team members. This individual ensures timely incident resolution while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Image PCs and deploy applications using SCCM.

• Install, replace, and configure hardware components and standard business/engineering software.

• Perform general user moves and relocate copier setups as needed.

• Troubleshoot Windows 10 & 11 OS, desktops/laptops, printers, mobile, and peripheral devices.

• Install and support Office 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Assist with basic network/server troubleshooting (e.g., replacing hard drives, memory, server reboots).

• Conduct installation and preventative maintenance on network and server equipment.

• Execute infrastructure mobilization/demobilization tasks to support dynamic environments.

• Manage Active Directory user accounts (create, modify, delete), including advanced lockout issue resolution.

• Document IT processes for use by the Service Desk and technical teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven hands-on experience with imaging, deploying machines, and technical troubleshooting.

• Proficient in supporting Windows 10 & 11 OS and Office 365 product suite.

• Working knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, and basic networking (switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, wireless).

• Strong focus and attention to detail in high-pressure environments.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to document processes clearly and concisely.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence without direct authority.

• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Capable of kneeling and running cables beneath desks and furniture.

• Comfortable working in physically demanding and confined environments.

• Ability to work at heights when required.
