The Senior Desktop Engineer is responsible for the continuous evolution of workstation computing environment. This position is responsible for technical implementation of workstation management, application deployment and updates, and asset management. This position proposes, designs, and implements enhancements and additions to the current environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with JAMF, Microsoft Intune, and other workstation management platforms
- Technically proficient, but also possess a customer service mindset with security as a top priority.
- Ability to multitask workloads across different technologies.
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Understanding of Microsoft 365 licensing
- Knowledge of PC and laptop hardware and troubleshooting techniques
- Skilled with Active Directory, Exchange, ActiveSync, Smart Phone and Mobile Device Management systems like Microsoft Intune.
- Ability to work with demanding users in a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in effectively handling user difficulties.
- Strong commitment to the IT policy use.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office 365 and various security software.
- Skilled with Active Directory and Security Groups (Group Policy, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol DHCP , Domain Name System DNS , Software-Defined Wide Area Network SD-WAN , and Virtual Local Area Network VLAN )
- Knowledge of network troubleshooting methods
- Ability to process information in a logical manner to reach a solution.

- Quick thinking, high energy, positive, and professional, with demonstrated analytical and problem solving, multi-tasking, and critical thinking skills.
- Manages support ticket queues and ensures incidents are resolved and closed within the defined service level agreements.
- Respond to end-user requests for updates on ticket status and promptly follow up as needed.
- Coordinate with vendors for provisioning or hardware support (e.g. technicians for warranty repair/replacement)
- Utilizes effective decision-making processes to prioritize daily tasks and assignments.
- Ensures that tasks are carried out properly and on a timely basis.
- Manages multiple priorities effectively.
- Required Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience in mobile device management and system management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), etc.
