MAC Panel is at the forefront of next-generation high-performance connectivity solutions used in critical test systems worldwide - from defense and aerospace to automotive and biomedical engineering. As a global leader trusted by top-tier government contractors and commercial partners, we engineer solutions that drive precision, scalability, and reliability.

Now, we're seeking a Senior Design Engineer who is excited to solve complex engineering challenges, shape product innovation, and make a tangible difference in industries that power the world.

Why You'll Love This Role:

  • Ownership & Autonomy: You'll lead full-cycle design projects - from concept to manufacturing - shaping electro-mechanical assemblies, custom harnesses, and PCB layouts.
  • Innovation at Your Fingertips: Work with cutting-edge tools like Autodesk Inventor and Altium while contributing to high-impact projects that influence real-world applications.
  • Collaborative Engineering: Partner with cross-functional teams - from sales to production - and see your work come to life on the factory floor.
  • Make a Difference: Your designs will be part of systems used in mission-critical testing environments across aerospace, defense, and biomedical fields.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and develop custom electronic cables, harnesses, PCBs, and assemblies.
  • Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and cost-effectiveness evaluations to ensure top-tier product outcomes.
  • Support internal teams (production, test, purchasing, sales) to align engineering efforts with customer needs and operational goals.
  • Use 3D parametric modeling and PCB layout tools to produce design files, BOMs, and detailed documentation.
  • Define technical specifications and ensure compliance with IPC-610, IPC-620, and other industry standards.
  • Conduct testing, validation, and continuous improvement on designs.
  • Review drawings and technical documents to ensure accuracy and manufacturability.
  • Drive efficiency by resolving design challenges and supporting production optimization.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years in an engineering role - ideally in cable/harness design or PCB layout/manufacturing.
  • Experience with Altium, Autodesk Inventor, and ATE systems (PXI preferred).
  • Familiarity with ISO/ANSI/IPC standards and documentation.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Tools You'll Use:

  • 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor)
  • PCB Design Software (Altium Designer)
  • Multimeters, oscilloscopes, calipers, network analyzers
  • ERP/MRP systems (for BOM and documentation updates)

Work Environment:

  • Mix of office and light manufacturing floor exposure
  • Occasional travel (approx. 10%)
  • Regular on-site attendance is required

Physical Demands:

  • Mostly sedentary with moderate standing (approx. 35%)
  • Occasional lifting (up to 10 lbs), stooping, and bending
