Job Description: The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing the organization's Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases. This role involves database performance tuning, vulnerability management, backup, and recovery solutions. The Database Administrator will also ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) security standards, including Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI) requirements, and manage database migrations and data replication tasks. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily monitoring, tuning, and optimization of Oracle and MS SQL databases. Schedule and execute monthly vulnerability scans on approximately 66 databases, analyze the results, and report any potential risks to the AFTAC team. Maintain compliance with DoD security standards, including STIG and CCRI guidelines. Manage database instances, including performance tuning, patching, and troubleshooting hardware and software faults. Provide database migration and replication support, ensuring availability and performance standards are met. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including performance reports and vulnerability analysis. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator. Proficiency in database tuning and optimization tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager. Certifications: Security+ required, Oracle or MS SQL certifications preferred (e.g., Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional). Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity standards, including ICD 503 and NIST 800-53. Top Secret Clearance IAT level 2 Desired Qualifications: Oracle and/or MSsql DB Certification Oracle Database Administration Certified Professional MCSA in Microsoft SQL Server
