Senior Database Administrator

A leading financial services firm is looking for an experienced Database Engineer to design, implement, and maintain modern database systems that ensure performance, scalability, and security. This role involves close collaboration with development, infrastructure, and analytics teams to support a wide range of data-driven initiatives.
The successful candidate will work across technologies including MongoDB, Snowflake, and Confluent Kafka, while also supporting Redis/ElastiCache, Tableau, Power BI, and Sigma reporting platforms. Responsibilities include database performance tuning, schema design, backup and recovery planning, CI/CD pipeline management (e.g., Harness), and overseeing database changes through ServiceNow. Experience with Business Continuity Planning and aligning systems with enterprise security standards is also required.
Ideal applicants will have at least 5 years of DBA experience, proficiency in SQL, Python, and Bash, and hands-on knowledge of cloud-based database services (AWS, Azure, or GCP). A strong grasp of ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and real-time streaming is essential.
