Senior Data Scientist III - Agentic AI & LLM Innovation
Remote (USA) or Raleigh, NC
Are you an advanced Data Scientist passionate about developing agentic AI systems and building LLM-powered products from the ground up?
We're exclusively representing a globally recognised organisation at the forefront of AI-driven innovation. They're looking for a Senior Data Scientist III to take a leading role in the development of scalable, multi-agent AI solutions that automate complex decision-making, enhance data workflows, and power next-generation analytics across key industries.
This is an opportunity to join an elite team building some of the most advanced AI infrastructure in the industry-creating LLM tools used both internally to accelerate product development and externally to transform customer experiences.
While the preferred location is Raleigh, NC, exceptional candidates can work remotely across the US.
What You'll Do
This is not your standard data science role. You'll be developing intelligent systems where LLMs and agents interact, collaborate, and reason through challenges autonomously. From designing robust backends to scaling real-time analytics platforms, this role blends R&D with commercial impact.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Engineering end-to-end LLM pipelines that power paid search analytics and automation, using scalable FastAPI backends
- Developing ReAct-based multi-agent systems to automate sophisticated data science workflows, reducing human intervention and accelerating experimentation
- Leading the creation of agentic AI frameworks-multiple AI agents working in concert to solve complex business problems
- Designing and deploying advanced ML models, including transformer-based architectures (BERT, RoBERTa, T5, GPT-3.5, Claude, Mistral, etc.)
- Collaborating with engineers and product teams to integrate LLM tooling into both internal platforms and external-facing products
- Mentoring junior data scientists and shaping best practices across AI/ML disciplines
- Architecting APIs and ML ops systems for model delivery and production scalability
What We're Looking For
We're keen to engage with senior-level data scientists who thrive on innovation, understand the emerging landscape of autonomous AI systems, and are excited by the challenge of turning research into real-world solutions.
You'll need:
- A Master's or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Strong hands-on experience with agentic AI, ReAct patterns, and LLM orchestration
- Deep expertise in Python, with production-grade knowledge of FastAPI or similar frameworks
- Familiarity with LLMs such as GPT-3.5, Claude, and Mistral, and deployment of models in live environments
- Proven record in building big data solutions using technologies like Spark, Hadoop, and AWS
- Experience with modern ML techniques, including deep learning, ensemble models, and interpretability frameworks
- A collaborative, leadership mindset - able to mentor, influence, and deliver high-impact outcomes across teams
Why This Role?
You'll be working within a pioneering organisation that takes AI seriously-not as a buzzword, but as a strategic pillar for growth. Their internal R&D culture gives you freedom to experiment, iterate, and lead projects that shape products used globally.
Benefits include:
- Market-leading base salary + annual bonus + equity scheme
- Comprehensive healthcare, dental, vision, and mental health coverage
- 401(k) match, employee stock purchase plans, and generous time-off policies
- Family-friendly benefits including surrogacy and adoption assistance
- Flexible working hours and fully remote working options
- Annual learning budgets, wellness stipends, and access to internal innovation labs
