Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Financial Services. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience with a cloud data warehousing platform (e.g. Snowflake); Minimum of 2 years of professional experience with analytics software (e.g. Python, R); Minimum of 2 years of professional experience with a Data Manipulation Language (e.g. SQL); MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES: The Senior Data Scientist will help transform how Onramp reviews/processes loan files, discover insights in our data, and own the data-driven decision making across the organization. Will analyze financial data to assess the likelihood of a customer honoring their financial obligations, build machine learning models to predict loan outcomes and cashflows, and build metrics and dashboards to communicate insights both internally and externally. The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for the following: Working with the latest technology and data stack (AWS); Carefully analyzing data and producing clear and objective reports; Assessing existing or prospective customers requesting Onramp services to determine whether they meet our underwriting, compliance, and regulatory standards; Assessing the ongoing behavior, performance and risk that our customers represent to us; Analyzing portfolio performance against standards and identifying trends and criteria to improve performance; Shaping credit policy changes through insight and analysis; Collaborating closely with cross functional teams and external partners, across multiple levels of seniority; Creating ratio, trend, and cashflow analyses and projections; Monitoring corporate portfolio asset quality on an ongoing basis.
