We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in crafting and managing innovative data pipelines and solutions within our organization. Based North of Dallas, TX, this role focuses on leveraging cutting-edge technologies to design, optimize, and maintain data systems that support business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, governance, and seamless integration across platforms.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive data strategies and pipelines that align with business needs and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain data integration solutions using Azure Services, ETL Tools and SQL , ensuring secure and efficient data flow.
  • Optimize MS SQL and Azure database structures and data models to improve system performance and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate data requirements into actionable technical plans.
  • Create logical and physical data models to support enterprise data warehousing initiatives.
  • Establish and enforce standards for data governance, ensuring data quality, security, and consistency.
  • Learn and integrate new technologies, like Snowflake, into existing frameworks to drive innovation and improve functionality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, evaluating and adopting modern tools and technologies to enhance data engineering, AI /ML and reporting structures.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's in Data Science, Data Analytics or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a data engineering, with a proven track record of success.
  • Exposure to data pipeline design and architecture preferred but not required.
  • Extensive knowledge of data engineering principles, methodologies, and practices.
  • Proficiency in Azure services, including Data Factory, Data Lakes, and Databricks.
  • Strong expertise in SQL databases, database optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS for efficient data transformation processes.
  • Ability to manage data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • The ability and desire to learn modern technologies like Snowflake
