Senior Data Engineer, you will be pivotal in designing and optimizing our ETL pipelines, ensuring data integration is seamless, and adhering to stringent healthcare data standards.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines to efficiently manage and transform extensive healthcare data.
- Ensure that all processes comply with healthcare data regulations and standards including HIPAA, HITRUST, FHIR, CDA, and HL7v2.
- Create and uphold a robust data infrastructure utilizing Azure cloud services like Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Implement best practices for CI/CD in data engineering workflows, promoting automated and reliable deployments.
- Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to effectively manage and provision cloud resources.
Qualifications: - 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with a profound emphasis on ETL pipelining.
- Proficient programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala for data automation and processing.
- Deep understanding of healthcare data formats and standards such as FHIR, CDA, HL7v2, HITRUST, and HIPAA.
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Familiarity with ETL tools and big data frameworks for scalable data processing.
- Experience with establishing CI/CD pipelines for data engineering initiatives.
- Strong command of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies using Terraform or similar tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and advocate for data engineering best practices.
