As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping our Navigator Platform, which provides a seamless digital auto-buying platform helping customers finance their vehicles and assisting dealers in crafting the best deals.
Your Responsibilities Will Include: - Designing and building a scalable, low-latency, fault-tolerant streaming data platform that delivers meaningful insights.
- Developing Distributed Streaming Data Pipelines and Analytics Data Stores using frameworks like Flink and Spark Streaming with programming languages including Java, Scala, and Python.
- Creating data pipelines with big data technologies, such as Spark, Flink, Kafka, and AWS Big Data Services on medium to large scale datasets.
- Working in a collaborative environment driven by Agile methodologies, focusing on CI/CD, application resiliency, and security protocols.
- Staying updated with tech trends, experimenting with new technologies, and mentoring fellow engineers.
- Collaborating across Agile teams to design and implement full-stack technical solutions.
- Partnering with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that enhance customer financial empowerment.
- Conducting unit tests and reviews to ensure high-quality code performance and design.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree.
- 3+ years of experience in application development (excluding internship experience).
- 1+ year of experience in big data technologies.
Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in application development, particularly with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
- 2+ years of experience with a cloud platform (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
- 3+ years of experience with distributed data computing tools (Kafka, Spark, Flink).
- 2+ years of experience in real-time data and streaming applications.
- 2+ years of experience with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, OpenSearch).
- 2+ years of experience in data warehousing (Redshift or Snowflake).
- 3+ years of UNIX/Linux experience, including basic commands and shell scripting.
- 2+ years of experience with Agile practices.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $144,200 - $164,600, based in Plano, TX, and varies based on the location of hire.
