About the Role:

Pushnami is seeking a driven and business-minded Senior Data Engineer to join our fast-paced, results-oriented team. This role is ideal for an analytical leader who thrives at the intersection of data, automation, and business strategy. As a Senior Data Engineer, you won't just be building pipelines, you'll be influencing how our business runs. You'll work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to surface insights, create efficiencies, and ensure teams have real-time access to the information they need to make smart, fast decisions.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the end-to-end development of business intelligence systems including metric monitoring, reporting automation, and decision-support tools.
  • Serve as a strategic data partner to business units, translating complex needs into scalable data pipelines and reporting frameworks.
  • Design and maintain Looker dashboards to deliver high-impact insights across Sales, Product, and Executive Leadership.
  • Build robust ETL pipelines and data models to support growing internal and external data needs.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor API integrations used for reporting purposes, ensuring data reliability and timeliness across applications.
  • Drive the evolution of Pushnami's business intelligence and data infrastructure, making recommendations on tooling, architecture, and best practices to scale with the business.
  • Champion data quality and governance by defining standards and creating automated checks and alerts.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to documentation, reviews, and internal knowledge sharing.
  • Identify and lead high-impact projects, influencing technical direction and helping teams prioritize data initiatives that align with business goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, etc.); MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence roles.
  • Deep proficiency with Looker, including LookML, dashboards, and Looker API integrations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Python, including developing automation scripts, API integrations, and data pipelines.
  • Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, AWS Athena).
  • Advanced SQL skills and a solid understanding of data modeling concepts.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deployment practices (CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with data orchestration frameworks (Airflow, dbt) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to translate business questions into data solutions, with a track record of improving performance through automation and insights.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
  • Comfortable operating independently, with high ownership, business acumen, and initiative.
