We're searching for a Senior Data Engineer with deep technical skills and a passion for mission-focused innovation.
You'll join a fast-paced team modernizing how secure environments manage structured and unstructured data. From building pipelines to deploying services in Kubernetes, your work will empower analysts, data scientists, and leadership with the insights they need, when they need them.
If you're fluent in tools like Spark, Trino, Iceberg, and Python, and you thrive in high-security environments, this could be your next mission-critical opportunity. In This Role, You'll:
• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable data pipelines and services
• Ingest, transform, and model structured and unstructured data for analytics and ML
• Work with technologies like Apache Spark, Apache Iceberg, Trino, NiFi, OpenSearch, and AWS EMR
• Ensure data integrity, lineage, and security across the entire lifecycle
• Collaborate with DevOps to deploy containerized data solutions using Kubernetes
• Support Agile delivery, version control, and data governance activities
• Partner with mission stakeholders to meet dynamic data exploration needs You'll Succeed Here If You Have:
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, architecture, and ETL design
• Expertise with Python, SQL, and open-source data tools
• Hands-on experience with secure data movement and storage
• A background in cloud and on-premises environments (AWS GovCloud preferred)
• Proven ability to process varied data types and formats with agility
• Strong documentation and communication skills Bonus Points If You Have:
• Experience with ElasticSearch, NiFi, and data mesh principles
• Familiarity with data cataloging and metadata management
• Background supporting intelligence or national security programs
