Role: Senior Data Engineer (Ab Initio, Teradata, Modern ETL) Location: Addison, TX Duration: Long Term Contract ONLY USC/GC Experienced in developing and supporting Ab Initio and Teradata based complex Data Warehousing applications as well as the ability to upskill to open source based modern ETL technologies like Python, Spark, Java etc Should have expertise in full SDLC for Data Management apps and be able to debug production issues and drive incident calls with hands on approach towards resolution. 1. Robust & Hands-on development experience with various Ab Initio components (like GDE, Express>It, Conduct>It, Continuous>Flows, Metadata Hub, EME, PDL/Meta-programming etc 2. Good working experience on generic graphs, parallelism techniques and with all components of Ab Initio such as Scan, join, Partition by key, Partition by Round Robin, Gather, Merge, Interleave, Lookup etc. 3. Experience and expertise in Teradata, PL/SQL and Unix shell scripting. 4. Financial services experience is a plus and data warehousing experience is required. 5. The candidate should have a very Robust technical experience in the areas of data analysis, database design and ETL. 6. Robust technical experience in Design (Mapping specifications, HLD, LLD), Development (Coding, Unit testing) using Ab Initio 7. Must have the ability to relate to both business and technical members of the team and possess excellent communication skills 8. Proactively notify risks, bottlenecks, problems, issues, and concerns, and plan upon remediation of these 9. Work closely with Quality Control teams to deliver quality software to agreed project schedules. Looking for candidates who have experience in developing and supporting Ab Initio and Teradata based complex Data Warehousing applications as well as the ability to upskill to open source based modern technologies. Should have expertise in full SDLC for Data Management apps and be able to debug production issues. In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables. Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering.
