Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Architect with deep experience in migrating enterprise data from Oracle to SQL Server. The ideal candidate will have a Master Data Management (MDM) mindset and be well-versed in Azure and/or AWS cloud environments. This person will be required to either travel on-site frequently for the first month or so if they are working far from the office or required to be on-site 3 days a week if local to the Richmond, VA area. We can pay $70-95/hour to this depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and lead data migration strategies from Oracle to SQL Server.
  • Define and implement data architecture standards and best practices.
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance with an MDM approach.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineers to deploy and manage data solutions in Azure or AWS.
  • Optimize data pipelines and ETL processes for performance and scalability.

Skills and Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture and enterprise data management.
  • Proven experience migrating large-scale data from Oracle to SQL Server.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
  • Experience with MDM frameworks and data governance.
