Job Title: Senior Data Architect
Job Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
Contract Length: 6 months

JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understanding and translating business needs into data models
• Supporting and providing consultation to database users and developers
• Designing and implementing effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data
• Examining and identifying database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming for API management and Microservices
• Assessing database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations
• Installing and organizing information systems to guarantee company functionality
• Preparing accurate database design and architecture reports for management and executive teams
• Recommending solutions to improve new and existing database systems
• Educating staff members through training and individual support
• Ensuring all database programs meet company and performance requirements
• Researching new technologies and constantly updating knowledge

Basic Qualifications:

• 1. Bachelor's Degree

• 1. 5+ years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1. Bachelor's degree in information technology, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, or Economics

• 1. Ability to problem-solve, plan, scope, and provide estimates for work effort, producing quality deliverables on time and on budget

• 1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels

• 1. Work effectively in teams as well as independently across multiple tasks while meeting aggressive timelines

• 1. Experience working in a consumer-centric company and with teams of technical professionals in a cross-functional environment

• 1. Ability to embrace change, constructively negotiate constraints, and effectively leverage resources to create exceptional outcomes Consistently model and inspire high levels of professional demeanor and integrity

• 1. Experience financial services, retail, healthcare, telecommunications, and entertainment industries

• 1. Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

• 1. Experience with database programming

Required Skills : Day to Day: - Will not do data modeling. Will be doing all of the review.
• There is a full scrum team working on the soap to rest
• Refactoring all soap services in XML format, refactoring API in JavaFuse Layer, converting this to rest format.
• Solution Architecture for the data structure
• Data Modular will be reviewing all of the layers, verifying data input/output.
• Work through solutions, review processes.
• Will be led by a few other lead architects Tech Stack:
• REST/JSON, Java/Fuse, DB2/SQL, Oracle, Apigee, GCP, AWS
• Well versed in API mgmt
• 90% of their services are on DB2 now.
• Looking for 5+ years' experience as a data architect/modular
• Few interactions on AWS, will use a lot of GCP
• On-prem. No cloud.
