Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst to join our Admin team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the reporting needs of our pretrial services department. Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

Location Address: 151 Lawrence Street Brooklyn, NY 11201.

Workplace Flexibility: Remote - Staff will need to come into the office for in-person meetings.

Salary: The salary for the Senior Data Analyst is $70,000 per year.

What you will be doing:
  • The Senior Data Analyst will oversee all aspects of data management, including reporting and analysis, for a comprehensive pretrial services program utilizing Salesforce/Exponent Case Management (ECM) as the primary platform.
  • The Senior Data Analyst will generate insightful analyses of crucial programmatic and operational results, aiming to deepen the agency's grasp of fundamental program challenges, patterns, and efficacy, thereby facilitating informed, data-centric decision-making.
  • Will conduct database queries to retrieve analytical datasets for the program, addressing the requirements of the executive team, pretrial management, and external inquiries from sponsors, regulatory bodies, legislators, and other key parties.
  • Craft and showcase monthly as well as cumulative data on program performance throughout the year, employing data visualizations and dashboards for clarity and impact.
  • Participate in program planning efforts with pretrial services leadership by contributing insights about program data.
  • Will create automated reporting systems to evaluate the program's performance relative to contractual objectives and establish procedures for billing, financial forecasting, and performance oversight.
  • Will partner with the quality assurance team to pinpoint and rectify any discrepancies or omissions in data and play an active role in ongoing quality enhancement initiatives to ensure the aggregation of data for prompt and accurate billing and performance monitoring.
  • Supply the New York State Office of Court Administration with annual reports on pretrial services, featuring descriptive statistics, outcomes, and trend analyses.
  • Oversee special projects and provide support in the preparation of proposals, the compilation of foundation reports, and the coordination of fundraising efforts.
  • Execute responsibilities in alignment with CASES' core values, embracing cultural diversity, upholding anti-discrimination principles, and adhering to established policies and protocols.
What we are looking for:
  • High School diploma/GED/HSE or bachelor's degree in related field with at least 3-5 years of experience as a data analyst working with relational databases (SQL, Salesforce, Google Cloud); or a master's degree in related field with at least 2 years of experience as a data analyst.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Advanced functions, Get and Transform), proficiency in other products in MS Suite required.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and multitask while adhering to deadlines.
  • Be comfortable in situations where it's asked to lead projects and participate in ways to innovate creation of data solutions.
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and remain highly organized.
  • Commitment to social justice and knowledge of NYC criminal justice system and alternatives to incarceration programs.
Additional preferred skills we are looking for but are not required:
  • Experience with Power BI is highly preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Salesforce experience is highly preferred; Salesforce certified professional a plus.
  • Other statistical software a plus.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, SPSS (or other statistical software) a plus.
