Job Description

Are you a one-of-a-kind data analyst who thrives on delivering actionable insights to guide executive decision-making? Are you insatiably curious? Do you like solving puzzles? If so, BluWave is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst capable of driving advanced analytics projects with independence, ownership, and strategic impact.

In this role, you will work closely with executive stakeholders across sales, marketing, finance, operations, and technology to solve complex challenges and ensure data drives critical business decisions. You'll take ownership of advanced analytics projects, build intuitive dashboards in tools like Sigma, and apply innovative methods to uncover trends and optimize processes.

You'll leverage modern data tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Sigma, and Metaplane and access a highly proprietary dataset to enhance the quality, reliability, and efficiency of BluWave's analytics capabilities and enable BluWave to make bigger, bolder, higher expected value decisions. This position is best suited for an experienced and results-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and quickly earns stakeholder trust.

• You can elegantly distill insights using sophisticated statistical techniques, AI, and data visualizations and dashboards via Sigma that will enable BluWave to measure and monitor performance, identify causal relationships, and continuously improve outcomes.

• You have particular expertise in analyzing sales and marketing data to explain efficacy, attribution, and key performance correlations.

• You will expertly leverage and optimize BluWave's modern data tools (Snowflake, dbt, Sigma, Metaplane) to improve analytics, workflow efficiency, and understand, and will advocate for future cutting-edge tools that will enable BluWave to continuously improve over time.

Key Responsibilities

Analytics and Insights:

• Analyze BluWave' robust datasets housed in Snowflake to uncover actionable insights, drivers of outcomes, and address business needs across sales, marketing, operations, finance, and technology.

• Apply advanced methodologies (e.g., regression analysis, A/B testing, time-series modeling) to evaluate performance, improve decision-making, and support predictive analyses, with an emphasis on sales and marketing data.

• Own and deliver timely, high-value analytics projects and ad-hoc requests with accuracy and a consultative approach.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Partner with executive stakeholders to understand their needs and provide insights that solve specific business challenges.

• Build compelling, self-service dashboards in Sigma and support stakeholders with interpreting and leveraging insights effectively.
• Present trends and recommendations clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences, helping them translate insights into action.

Modern Data Tools and Optimization:

• Leverage tools like dbt to support data transformation processes and ensure data quality across workflows.

• Use Metaplane or other observability tools to monitor, maintain, and improve data reliability.

• Continuously refine analytics workflows, enabling more efficient reporting and enhanced operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in data analytics, with demonstrated expertise in independently managing projects and delivering impactful results.

• Strong experience working with data in Snowflake environments and familiarity with modern BI tools (Sigma preferred; Tableau, Looker, or Power BI acceptable).

• Familiarity with data transformation tools such as dbt, as well as data observability tools like Metaplane or similar platforms, is highly preferred.

• Strong experience applying advanced statistical methodologies (e.g., regression modeling, A/B testing, attribution modeling, time-series analysis) to evaluate business activities, with an emphasis on sales, marketing and campaign-related performance preferred.

• Working knowledge of Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) for automating tasks and advanced analysis.

• Advanced SQL skills with a strong command of relational databases, query optimization, and complex data transformations. Ability to write efficient, modular, and maintainable code to support scalable analytics workflows and work with large, complex datasets in a Snowflake-powered environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data simply and make results actionable for executive stakeholders.

• Self-starter mindset, with the ability to execute on projects efficiently and deliver impactful solutions with minimal guidance or oversight.

• An undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics or adjacent data science field(s) from a leading academic institution. An advanced master's level degree is a plus.

• A proven ability and genuine enthusiasm for thriving in a startup or fast-paced work environment.

Work Expectations & Location

This hybrid work role is based in Nashville, TN. We collaboratively work together in our modern office Monday through Thursday each week and offer flexibility to work from home on Fridays.
