Join our dynamic team as a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer. This role is hybrid and based in Scottsdale, AZ.
As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be instrumental in protecting our systems and ensuring adherence to industry best practices. You will have full ownership of our security tools, making sure they are current, widely used, and perfectly configured. Lead exciting security projects focused on tooling, infrastructure, applications, and cloud (AWS).
Key Responsibilities: - Security Stack Leadership: Manage our security stack, including SIEM, EDR, NDR, VM, WAF, firewalls, email security, IAM, and more, in alignment with leadership objectives.
- Incident and Vulnerability Management: Spearhead processes for managing vulnerabilities and incidents to maintain compliance with security policies.
- Internal Support: Provide guidance and support on security issues to internal teams, nurturing a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Project Leadership: Oversee the formulation, prioritization, and execution of security projects to ensure they align with our organizational goals.
- Documentation and Policy Management: Keep thorough documentation of work, ensuring all security policies and procedures are up-to-date.
- Audits and Compliance Reviews: Conduct audits and reviews, providing necessary metrics and diagrams to support compliance initiatives.
- Security Awareness Training: Help develop and implement internal security testing and monitoring processes, educating stakeholders on evolving security technologies.
- Risk Management: Collaborate with IT and other departments to evaluate and address security risks proactively.
- Stay Current: Keep yourself informed about emerging IT security technologies and trends, sharing insights with the team to inspire innovation.
- Compliance Collaboration: Partner with internal compliance teams to meet compliance mandates through effective policy development and process enhancement.
- On-call Responsibilities: Participate in 24/7 on-call support for critical business clients and to address emergencies.
Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of seven years in IT, including at least five years focused on IT Security.
- Technical Skills: Strong background in security engineering, computer and network security, authentication methods, security protocols, and applied cryptography.
- Certification: CISSP certification or willingness to obtain it within the first 6 months of employment.
