In this crucial role, you will elevate cybersecurity operations by executing thorough system hardening, vulnerability assessments, and ensuring security compliance with DoD standards. Important Note: This position is contingent upon the award of a contract, anticipated in December 2025.

Clearance Requirement: An ACTIVE Secret clearance is required for this position. Candidates selected will undergo a security investigation and must meet the eligibility criteria for access to classified information. US Citizenship is necessary to obtain a clearance.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possession of one of the following DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III baseline certifications:
    • CASP+ CE
    • CCNP Security
    • CISA
    • CISSP Associate
    • CISSP
    • GCED
    • GCIH
    • CCSP
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Creating and managing Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages for diverse systems.
  • Drafting and maintaining key security documentation, including:
    • Authorization Boundary Diagrams
    • System Hardware/Software/Information Flow Diagrams
    • System Security Plans
    • Privacy Impact Assessments
    • e-Authentication Plans
    • Implementation Plans
    • Continuous Monitoring Plans
    • Ports, Protocols, and Services Registrations
    • Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M)
  • Conducting annual FISMA assessments.
  • Performing Continuous Monitoring of authorized systems.
  • Generating and updating test plans; conducting testing of system components using tools like Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), and reviewing Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM).
  • Executing automated ACAS scanning and STIG checks on various systems.
  • Analyzing cybersecurity scan results and assisting in documenting findings in the Plan of Action and Milestones.
  • Examining DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide results and documenting findings as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications: A total of ten years of full-time professional experience in the following areas:
  • Computer security, military specifications, and DoD cybersecurity practices.
  • Familiarity with the National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC) and ship computing environment protocols.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF), cyber defense techniques, and various IA-enabled appliances including Firewalls, IDS, IPS, and Endpoint Security Solutions.
  • Implementation of STIGs.
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments using the ACAS tool.
  • Remediating vulnerability findings and applying vendor patches on both Linux and Windows systems.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering is required.

Compensation: At SimVentions, compensation is based on various factors including experience, education, training, security clearance, skills, and alignment with our corporate plan. The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $160,000 (USD).
