The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) is seeking a talented Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to contribute to a vital new cyber security program. This role is instrumental in managing government-critical systems, overseeing the development, integration, delivery, and operations of IT managed security services to ensure comprehensive monitoring of cybersecurity threats and situational awareness across the enterprise. This role is based on the anticipation of a future contract award.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of security solutions across the enterprise.
  • Act as a senior technical expert in developing cutting-edge security architectures, addressing cyber threats, and ensuring compliance with industry security standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly embed security into system designs, drive innovation, and spearhead security initiatives across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.
  • Architect, develop, and implement strategic cybersecurity solutions to safeguard enterprise networks, applications, and data.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging security technologies to boost threat detection, response capabilities, and risk management.
  • Conduct detailed security assessments including penetration testing, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Establish and enforce security policies, frameworks, and best practices in line with NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK, and other industry standards.
  • Design and implement security controls for cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), on-prem, and hybrid environments.
  • Work with DevOps and software engineering teams to embed security into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Develop and implement Zero Trust architectures and strategies to strengthen the enterprise security posture.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in threat intelligence, cyber defense operations, and security engineering.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to security engineers, analysts, and IT personnel.
  • Lead incident response initiatives, conduct forensic investigations, and perform root cause analyses of security incidents.
  • Stay informed about emerging cyber threats, attack methodologies, and mitigation strategies to enhance proactive security measures.
Requirements:
  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8 to 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6 to 10 years of relevant experience. Candidates with a Doctorate in a technical domain are also encouraged to apply. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CompTIA Network+ certification.
  • CISSP or other IAT III certifications.

Pay Range: $104,650.00 - $189,175.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only, not a guarantee of compensation. Additional factors affecting the offer may include job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
