Senior Cyber Security Engineer with Security Clearance

As a Senior Cyber Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, engineering, and securing a cutting-edge space system. This is a high-impact opportunity for a cyber expert passionate about proactive security design and full lifecycle risk management. Key Responsibilities:
• Lead cyber architecture and engineering efforts as part of a multi-functional team developing a state-of-the-art space system.
• Define and implement cybersecurity architectures, tools, and processes that ensure security requirements are built in from the ground up.
• Engineer and configure advanced cybersecurity solutions, integrating them into complex IT platforms.
• Provide strategic leadership and technical guidance to the project team, promoting continuous cybersecurity improvement and compliance.
• Oversee system security design and offer subject matter expertise in resolving complex cybersecurity challenges.
• Develop, review, and maintain cybersecurity documentation including Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and security assessment packages (e.g., IA SOPs, SSP, RAR, SCTM).
• Support security Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities, including system categorization and control implementation.
• Deliver high-quality reports, white papers, proposals, and executive-level briefings on cybersecurity status and initiatives.
• Manage daily cybersecurity operations, ensuring timely delivery of contract requirements and mission objectives.
• Maintain and guide the development of Authority to Operate (ATO) packages and cybersecurity compliance. Required Qualifications:
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Tier III DoD 8570-compliant cybersecurity certification (CISSP, CASP+, or CISM).
• Proven ability to work and lead in complex technical and organizational environments.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with experience briefing executive-level stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of NIST SP 800-53 and related DoD cybersecurity standards.
• Extensive experience with RMF, A&A processes, and development of associated Body of Evidence (BoE) documentation.
• Demonstrated success in designing, implementing, and securing cybersecurity architectures. Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies.
• Experience in agile development environments and with DevSecOps toolchains.
• Proficiency in using Elastic or similar cybersecurity analytics platforms.
• Experience with container security and vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., JFrog Xray, Prisma).
• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity compliance tools such as ACAS, ESS, Nessus, or HBSS.
