Job Summary:

Synergy Enterprises, Inc., a woman-owned business, is seeking a part-time, as needed Senior Creative Strategist who can bring clarity, insight, and imagination to complex public health challenges and translate insights into powerful ideas that move audiences. You'll be the connective tissue between research, strategy, and creative execution-partnering with clients and internal teams to shape messaging, campaign concepts, and multi-platform strategies that shift behavior.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead creative strategy across key client engagements, especially for health-focused campaigns, educational initiatives, and behavior change efforts.
  • Translate research, audience data, and client input into clear, actionable communication strategies and creative briefs.
  • Develop compelling narratives, messaging platforms, and campaign concepts in collaboration with creatives, writers, and designers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams-account, digital, paid media, and production-to ensure strategies come to life powerfully and cohesively.
  • Partner with federal clients to align creative direction with policy goals, scientific accuracy, and cultural relevance.
  • Stay ahead of cultural trends, audience behaviors, and creative innovation to fuel breakthrough ideas.
  • Ensure that all creative solutions meet high standards of accessibility, cultural competency, and plain language best practices.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years in creative strategy, communications planning, or campaign development-preferably within health communications, government, or science/tech-focused environments.
  • Demonstrated experience developing strategic frameworks and creative messaging for multi-channel campaigns (web, print, video, social, etc.).
  • Ability to interpret data and research to inform audience insights and message development.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and conceptual skills.
  • Experience working with federal clients or within government contracts a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of health equity, public health principles, and/or science communication is a significant asset.
  • Comfort with both creative ideation and analytical thinking-left brain/right brain in sync.
  • Deep empathy for diverse audiences and a passion for inclusive, values-driven work.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to inspire clients and teammates alike.
Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Familiarity with NIH, CDC, or CMS communications protocols or priorities.
  • Background in public health, science writing, or behavior change communications.
  • Experience applying plain language and Section 508 compliance standards.
