About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel with a focus on public sector compliance to lead legal initiatives in the international public sector business. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of key activities, including drafting and negotiating public sector customer agreements, overseeing compliance with US and international public sector requirements, and developing and implementing specific compliance programs to meet government contracting laws. This role demands a proactive legal professional with a substantial in-house background in public sector compliance, particularly within the technology sector. The Senior Counsel will also be involved in risk assessment, training, and education on government ethics and compliance, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure ongoing compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Applicants for this role at the company should have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, be admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, and have a minimum of 12 years' legal experience, with a strong focus on U.S. public sector compliance and government contracts. A deep understanding of relevant laws and regulations, such as FAR and DFARS, is essential, as is a proven track record in developing and implementing effective compliance programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills, be a self-starter, and have the ability to provide sound legal judgment in ambiguous situations. Preferred qualifications include an active U.S. government security clearance or eligibility for clearance and experience working directly with government entities or in a similar regulatory environment within the technology sector.
