We are representing a Fortune 500 manufacturing based organization who is actively seeking a Senior Cost Accountant for their flagship manufacturing operation. This 500+ employee campus whose projected top line revenue that has surpassed will surpass $500M USD. This is a "high visibility/growth" opportunity that the Director of Finance has position as a "critical fill" for the organization.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
- Responsible for assisting with month-end close process including financial package preparation.
- Maintain various records, ad hoc reporting and analysis
- Analyzes financial data obtained through studies to determine effects of costs on business
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs
- Provides management with detailed reports for use in making business decisions and controlling expenditures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Candidate should have experience with cost accounting within the manufacturing sector.
- Candidate should be well versed in Excel
- Experience leading month end close process
- Strong budgeting/forecasting
