Overview The Sr. Core Systems Analyst is the overall technical owner of the Core Banking system, including third-party vendor interfaces. Responsible for facilitating the effective use of the Core Banking system by applying comprehensive knowledge of technology to support, automate and improve the system. Owner of the Opcon Enterprise Automation system, which includes development of standards, performing upgrades, and ensuring the overall health and stability of the platform. Analyzes projects to identify and propose solutions that may include opportunities to automate functions, streamline data interaction between systems and provide accurate, efficient, and effective operations by general credit union staff. Maintains a working knowledge of the third-party systems that directly interact with the Core Banking system, especially regarding integration. Responsible for upholding and abiding by Frontwave's core values and service expectations.

Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following non-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. All duties are to be performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations as well as Credit Union policies and procedures:
  • Perform regular system monitoring of core banking system, ensuring processes are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Create and modify automation schedules and tasks using OpCon, Microsoft PowerShell, or other approved technologies.
  • Automate file transfer and batch processes between 3rd party vendors and internal systems.
  • Test and install Core System software releases
  • Provide support during hardware upgrades
  • Monitor month-end processing after hours.
  • Maintain availability to support core system upgrades during off hours including, but not limited to hours outside the normal department work schedule
  • Apply Credit Union and vendor approved updates to applicable Credit Union systems, possibly during business and night hours when appropriate
  • Establish user needs and monitor user access and security.
  • Apply system upgrades and patches to the core banking system.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of new processes, working with vendors and other departments as needed.
  • Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery procedures, take ownership of regular backups.
  • Troubleshoot core-related end user problems to support branch and back-office operations.
  • Create and maintain documentation for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly tasks, and other needed documentation.
  • Accomplish organizational goals by taking ownership of new and varied requests; explore opportunities that add value to the department and to Cyprus.
  • Manage databases with consideration of space, access/security, and purpose
  • Assist with annual budgetary planning by pinpointing possible solutions to enhance the end-user experience.
  • Continually build knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, attending conferences, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Protect the organization's value by actively keeping information confidential and performing duties with a security-focused mindset.
  • Documents and updates procedures
Qualifications Education and/or Experience:
  • At least 3 years experience supporting and administering a core banking system, such as Corelation Keystone, JHA Symitar, or Fiserv DNA, is required.
  • Previous experience working with managed file transfer and process automation products, such as OpCon, PowerShell, Axway, or other related software, is required.
  • Previous experience writing SQL queries and automating tasks using Microsoft PowerShell required.
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a strong plus.
Salary Range: $43.24- $64.87
