We are currently seeking a
Senior-Level Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join this innovative team. In this role, you'll contribute to a wide range of projects-from small-scale technical studies to full-scale, multi-million-dollar turnkey systems.

Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of hardware assembly and wiring diagrams for control and data acquisition systems
- Oversee the creation of control system software to manage variables such as temperature, pressure, humidity, flow, force, motion, safety systems, and other complex electromechanical processes
- Develop control software using PLC ladder logic, function block programming, and HMI interfaces
- Design interfaces to facility equipment using both hardwired connections and industrial communication networks
- Apply classical and modern closed-loop control methods to continuously variable systems
- Ensure quality by reviewing work, adhering to standard procedures, and maintaining compliance with relevant codes and industry standards
- Direct on-site startup, checkout, and commissioning efforts-both domestically and internationally
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines and internal departments to drive project success
- Plan labor resources and schedule project milestones to ensure delivery within scope, budget, and timeline
- Contribute to business development by preparing proposals and identifying opportunities with current and prospective clients
- Lead control and data acquisition projects through all phases-design, fabrication, implementation, testing, and commissioning
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers in both technical and business development practices
Requirements- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in control or data acquisition system design, implementation, and commissioning
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus
- Proven experience as a lead engineer, including resource management, budgeting, scheduling, and cross-disciplinary coordination
- Proficient in high-level programming environments such as C, C , C , or engineering tools like LabVIEW, MATLAB, and SIMULINK/SIMSCAPE
- Skilled in PLC and HMI software development within major platforms (e.g., Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, Emerson PC ME); familiarity with additional platforms and PlantPAx is a plus
- Strong background in selecting and specifying control hardware, process instrumentation, PLCs, drive/motion systems, DAQ systems, network hardware, cabling, and related equipment
- Solid mathematical foundation, with ability to develop data uncertainty models, digital filtering, control algorithms, and process simulations
- Demonstrated ability to lead single- and multi-discipline engineering teams in delivering high-performance, often one-of-a-kind control and data systems
- Passion for innovation and creative problem-solving throughout all phases of engineering projects
- Strong mentoring skills to support and guide junior and mid-level engineers
