Your responsibilities will include managing the physical machine hardware used in manufacturing, the intricate networks that connect them, and the software that controls these systems.

What You Will Do - Oversee control systems encompassing hardware design, software development, design documentation, networking, and data acquisition.
- Partner with Plant Engineering, MES, IT, Maintenance, and Production teams to support projects involving networking, PLCs, HMIs, and associated software.
- Collaborate across multiple Operations teams to achieve continuous improvement project goals.
- Estimate time and costs for new projects to ensure efficiency.
- Review capital equipment proposals and quotations to verify their compliance with control system specifications.
- Provide on-site troubleshooting and remediation support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Work proactively to minimize production equipment downtime related to control system issues.
- Support network backup processes and device patch management.
- Assist with the management and inventory of control system assets, including software, servers, devices, and workstations.
- Drive improvements in system and maintenance performance for better availability and reliability.
- Evaluate security vulnerabilities and collaborate with teams for appropriate remediation.
- Compile and organize data from connected devices for organizational access.
- Develop and enforce standards for control systems hardware and software.
- Tackle complex problems, offering innovative perspectives on existing solutions.
- Work independently, receiving minimal guidance.
- Lead specific project aspects or have accountability for ongoing initiatives.
- Act as a mentor and resource for less experienced colleagues.

Education & Experience Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a related field.
- Strong experience with automation hardware and software platforms, including PLCs and HMIs.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 79, and other relevant technical codes.
- Able to provide support and troubleshooting for industrial equipment.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Capable of managing various assignments and adapting to changing priorities.
- Effective communication skills for all organizational levels.
