An employer sitting in Houston, Texas is looking to hire an onsite Lead Controls Engineer. He/She will be supporting a major compressor modernization project, helping to ensure quality over the controls for 4 gas driven engines and 2 electric driven engines. Currently, they're coming up on 60% design and they're looking for someone who can holistically look at the network controls from a high level. This person will be responsible for understanding and leading engineering decisions based on temperature controls, managing fluid flow, low seasons, high seasons, how gas flows, accurate codes and tools function in the plant, understanding different aspects to compressors, tanks, pumps etc. This person will be working full time onsite M-Fri, paying between $60-70/hour.
Must Haves
- 10+ years of experience acting as a Lead Engineer
- Previous Instrumentation and Controls experience on a related project for a Compressor Station, Refinery and/or processing plant
- Understanding of the controls around both gas and electric driven compressor engines
- Experience utilizing Aveva for design review and Navisworks to check P&ID and Isometric drawings
