We are looking to add experienced Senior Contracting/Procurement Policy Analysts to our team who have previous experience working in the 1102 Contracting Series. As a Senior Contracting/Procurement Policy Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing, researching, and interpreting policies and their impact on stakeholders at a major agency in the Intelligence Community. Your role will involve drafting recommendations that will lead to improving and creating policies. Key to Success: You need to know existing contracting and procurement policies and understand their impact. You need to possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills that will empower and enable your ability to research and analyze data and present complex information, both verbal and written, clearly and concisely. Work Environment You will be part of a small team of contracting and procurement professionals. You will work independently and in a team setting. Position Requirements Duties and Responsibilities Develop and implement contracting policies and procedures in accordance with DoD regulations. Provide expert knowledge of FAR and DFARS to ensure compliance and effective contract management. Conduct cost and price analysis, negotiate strategies, and develop negotiation objectives for various contract types. Assist with strategic-level issues, agile acquisition policies, and procedures, including acquisition planning and contract administration. Counsel and mentor stakeholders on good acquisition practices, lessons learned, and coaching developmental contracting specialists. Required Knowledge and Skills: Expert knowledge of DoD contracting procedures. Extensive knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). Proven experience in major system acquisition, simplified acquisition, research and development, service contracting, federal supply schedules, information technology acquisitions, other transactions, and grants. Experience with PRISM or PD2. Analytical and critical thinking skills. Research and data analysis skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Desired Experience: Prior experience as a Contracting Officer in the Intelligence Community strongly desired. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field. DAWIA Professional Certification in Contracting (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of contracting experience with 4 years specifically in the acquisition policy area.
