Senior Consultant, Retirement-(EASK)Description
The Opportunity:
The individual will step into a multi-faceted role that offers the opportunity to have a significant and positive impact on the continued growth of the retirement benefits consulting business.
The Role:
The Senior Consultant provides high-quality, timely consulting services such as valuations, reports, and special projects. With strong analytical skills, they develop actuarial concepts and models, serving as a valued technical resource for colleagues and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Acting as a technical resource, expert, and advisor on retirement plan-related issues.
Performing in a primary client relationship role for select clients.
Managing client teams and projects delivering retirement services.
Supporting marketing, business development efforts and/or leading/supporting initiatives to grow revenue; may manage revenue.
Conducting senior level peer review of practice-related work products for quality purposes and; maintaining and/or enhancing standards for technical quality and professional competence relating to retirement plan consulting.
Qualifications
The Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelors degree preferred.
A minimum of ten (10) years of external consulting experience and seasoning or 7 years if an internal candidate with ability to step into a role requiring significant business development, practice development, client relationship and leadership skills within professional services and/or insurance company environments.
Demonstrated expertise in the design, funding, and administration of retirement plans.
Actuarial credentials (ASA, EA) are preferred, but not a requirement.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and use relevant data applications.
Effective relationship builder and communicator (oral/written); analytical, creative problem-solver; innovative/contributor to best practice approaches and techniques; leadership who demonstrates the ideal behavior for others to emulate.

The current salary range for this position is $130,000 to $165,000 plus opportunity for a discretionary performance bonus based on company profitability and employee performance.
