We are seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to join our Customer Success team. In this role, you will engage with our customers post-sales to develop software solutions on the Appian platform. Your primary responsibilities include leading projects through the entire lifecycle, designing and implementing custom solutions using our low-code platform, working within an agile environment, and mentoring consultants during software implementations. You will collaborate with client technical teams and business users to drive adoption and empower clients to build process applications independently.

This role is based at our European HQ in London. Appian values in-person collaboration and expects employees to work in the office 5 days a week to foster our culture of teamwork and shared ideas.

To be successful in this role, you need:

  • Experience leading small teams through post-sale software implementation and mentoring others
  • Ability to define business processes and gather system requirements from clients
  • Excellent communication skills, passion for technology, and a continuous learning mindset
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams using agile methodologies
  • Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming, relational databases, SQL, and data modeling
  • Familiarity with software testing practices, APIs (REST, SOAP), web services, and cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud (preferred)
  • 3+ years of hands-on software development or technical consulting experience
  • B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for customer engagement
